The PräKasch is a toggle-lever case press designed to press down book cases, posters, calendar backs etc. after laminating and/or turning-in.
The advantage of the PräKasch over pressing-down machines with rollers is that if bubbles have built between cardboard and cover, no creases occur when they are pressed down. Moreover, the turned-in corners are pressed tightly.
The soft surface of the pressing plate which has a thicker center part for the spine of book cases avoids damages to the product to be pressed.
The material to be pressed is first placed on the pressing plate and is pushed into the PräKasch.
The pressing procedure is initiated by pulling down the hand lever until it is lying on the rubber muffle of the stop.
If the pressing height has been set correctly, a tilting of the toggle lever can be felt just before the stop is reached.
This tilting presses the hand lever against the stop, thereby securing it against lifting again independently.
After the desired pressing time, the hand lever is lifted again to its initial position and the pressed product is removed.
